Today Laurence has started looking a bit better, even before the ERCP. The ERCP itself was very fast and painless according to him. It took only 20 mins and he was under anesthetic which is a stark contrast to what he had to go through a few days ago in Ipoh.
A stent was put into the bile duct to flush out whatever what trapped in there due to the swelling of the surrounding tissue. After that tube was put in he’s in much better condition and the pain has gone. Still jaundiced but it will take a day or two to flush the bile out of the blood system.
He’ll spend the next few days recovering and building up his strength in preparation for the operation on Thursday.
